The Northern Ostrobothnia Museum

The basic exhibition will tell you the history of the city of Oulu and its surroundings faster than it takes Agent Bauer to finish his job.

The Seamanÿs Home Museumhttp://www.ouka.fi/ppm/merimiesmuseo/index.htmOnce a seaman, always a seaman. Or so the saying goes. To find out how the seamen of old lived, visit this Pikisaari house built from 1737-39. Itÿs the oldest wooden building in Oulu, showing how the house of a seaman and his tenant looked like in the 1880s.

Turkansaari Open-Air Museum

But with all the more reason, why not go ahead and take a look how people used to live along the Oulu River back in the old days. The Turkansaari Open-Air Museum has over 40 museum buildings complete with articles. The buildings include a church built in 1694 and the old country manor house of Ylikärppä, completed in 1894.
 

The Geological Museum

Pateniemi Saw Mill Museum

Oulu Car Museum

Go admire these beauties and while youÿre at it, memorise a few pieces of car trivia from the Oulu Car Museum to have something to say next time you meet that neighbourhood car expert of yours. The museum displays 50 different old cars, the oldest of which date back to the 1910s.

The location of the museum in an old, idyllic instrial milieu gives an exquisite framework to museum's versatile programme.
